Wedding Season!!!!

Hello everyone, thanks for visiting.  So the season of summer is officially here and so is the season of weddings.  If you  have  attended an Indian wedding before, you will  know that the rituals and traditions last for several days and the guest list is usually huge!!! (sometimes up to 5000 or more).  Most weddings are infused with a lot of color, traditions and synchronized dances from the groom and bride’s side.  This is an outfit I wore to one of the many pre-wedding celebrations.  Hope you like it!!!!

Outfit : Sanam’s Boutique (Toronto), Jewellery:  India, Shoes:  Aldo

What I love about this outfit is that it is colorful without it being too loud.  The pop of color with the bright pink was one of the reasons why I bought this dress.  This particular style is called the “Anaarkali” it has a loose fit to it and the length of the outfit gives it grace and elegance.

If you ever go to in Indian wedding you will also know that the food is usually served pretty late but I promise you that  you wont be disappointed.  The variety of food  is plenty and very very delicious.  I was glad for the loose fit on my “Anaarkali” :).

The celebration lasted till the wee hours in the morning and I was pretty exhausted by the time I came home. So all I ended up doing today was to get a massage (mainly my feet from all that dancing in heels) and relax.  It’s a rough life I know 🙂

Hope you visit soon and have a great week.

xoxo

About Heels Health and Happiness

A little about myself: I was born and raised in Canada. Coming from a family with 4 siblings (total) it was hard to convince my parents to give me enough money to experiment with fashion. You see...I come from a family that puts a LOT of emphasis on Academics and fashion was something that was almost looked down upon....so I did what most kids do, I went the academic route secretly envying fashion from afar. What I hope to achieve in this blog is to experiment with fashion and all things creative. Be it interior decorating, landscape designing, gardening, art and my first love fashion. I invite you all to join me on this journey of fashion and creativity and self discovery. I will make mistakes and fashion blunders but a wise man once said "The best part of the journey is the journey itself not so much the destination"

We went to one of those huge wedding
receptions and the food was amazing. Everyone was taking our pictures, that is until Mr. Modi arrived and all the cameras were turned to hi!
